I’m trying to do this on a Clarion PT9653 also known as a Mazda Finish Line 742. I have identified the 13 pin connections are different to all other models i can find schematics for. I believe the socket is intended for an in dash single CD player rather than a remote multi CD.
Printed on the circuit board are the following pin designations
2 = left channel in
4 = right channel in
5 = signal ground
7 = CD on
9 = CD stop
13 = CD mute.
all pins have close to 0V except for
Pin 7 = 1V only when powered on
Pin 8 = 12V even on standby
Pin 9 = 5V when powered on
I need to know how do i use pin 7 to tell the head unit to switch to the CD inputs so i can use a bluetooth audio device.
Should i ground it? Should i put 5V or 12V on to it?
I don’t want to damage it in the process of testing.
I hope you can help me.
Thanks.
